We are always on the lookout for the next great advertising sales rep.
We rely on local business sponsors to make the publication of our maps and placemats possible, and we rely on our sales reps to communicate with those sponsors. No sales reps, no MAIL-A-MAPs or placemats!
A successful MAIL-A-MAP rep is friendly, outgoing and persistent. He or she must enjoy the process of calling on business owners, as a typical day involves 15-20 calls, usually resulting in 4-5 sales. Our best reps have outside sales experience and enjoy the process of direct sales.
Retired or semi-retired business owners and sales professionals have enjoyed success working with MAIL-A-MAP. Our independent contractor sales reps work their own schedule and we never have more than one rep working in the same town. Our goal is to work with sales professionals who are looking for a long term home for their sales skills. Average length of time with the company for our current reps is seven years.
Full time MAIL-A-MAP sales reps work in 25-35 different towns over the course of the year, so there is always a change of scenery around the corner. Commission income for full time reps ranges from $25,000 to $75,000 depending on work habits, closing rates and tenure with the company.
Territories in Connecticut become available infrequently, but we are always looking for qualified reps to help us expand into New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and contiguous areas.
